This free generator balances a simple weekly requirement. RoleSchedule Auto-Assign adds eligibility, absences, overlap checks, rest policy, role requirements, locks, shift continuity, and existing assignments.
Method
The free generator fills a seven-day grid with a simple balancing heuristic. It prefers employees aligned to the same shift index, keeps one assignment per person per day, and stops assigning a person after the selected maximum workdays.
Example
With three daily shifts and two people required per shift, the generator attempts to place 42 weekly assignments while spreading work across the available employees.
What the answer means
Use the generated grid as a quick starting point. If the real operation has role eligibility, absences, locked assignments, overlap, rest, or continuity rules, move the same requirement into RoleSchedule.
What this tool does not prove
This is a transparent sample generator, not the production Auto-Assign solver. It does not apply qualification rules, approved absences, overlapping work, locked cells, role eligibility, or organization-specific constraints.

Capacity math cannot see every person-level scheduling constraint
A staffing model can be mathematically feasible and still fail when only certain people are qualified for a role, approved absences remove key people, assignments overlap, rest windows are too short, or coverage changes on specific dates. Those are the checks RoleSchedule keeps attached to the schedule itself.
